Lukas Naugle

Lukas Naugle is the founder of Changegoat and serves as strategic advisor and operating partner to private equity firms, family offices, and the executive leadership teams of their portfolio companies. His practice for more than 15 years has supported capital providers and operators in hard-asset-backed industries, many of them highly regulated and operating adjacent to government. The work centers on leadership alignment and strategic clarity, anchored by disciplined execution at the inflection point.

Lukas launched Changegoat in 2010, initially advising a Phoenix-based family office and its investment platform. During that period, he worked closely with early-stage companies on deal sourcing, customer development, and the operating support that took multiple portfolio businesses from launch to standing capability. This early work shaped a long-term practice that has remained operator-first across the firm’s life.

Since 2010, Lukas has delivered more than 5,000 hours of executive and board-level advisory support. His work has run across private investors, family enterprises, venture-backed and growth-stage companies, and mission-driven organizations. Engagements have centered on the executive leadership seat, strategy, and the communications work that supports both, integrating across these functions through periods of transition.

Since its inception, Lukas has served as a strategic advisor and operating advisor to the founding partners of Weatherford Capital, working across the Weatherford portfolio with a focus on the executive seat, strategic communications, and the firm’s positioning in market. Weatherford Capital has grown to more than $1 billion in assets under management during that period.

Lukas’s practice draws on entrepreneurial experience as much as advisory training. He holds a BA in International Business from Whitworth University and is based in Dallas, Texas.
